Farq ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website farqbh.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site and how it is used.

What we collect

Farq is a price comparison site. We do not require accounts or ask for your name, address, or payment details. The limited data used when you visit the site is:

  • Search queries — the words you type into our search box are sent to our search provider (Brave Search) and may be stored in aggregate to improve the catalog.
  • Page views — basic traffic information (which pages were visited, referring site, browser type, country) collected by analytics tools.
  • Outbound clicks — when you click an offer, we may log which retailer was selected so we can improve our service.
  • Abuse-prevention counters — a one-way hash derived from your IP address is used for short-lived search rate limits. Farq does not store the raw IP address in its application database.
  • Price-drop alerts — if you set an alert, we store the email address you provide solely to send that one notification. The address is deleted as soon as the alert fires, and it is never used for newsletters or shared with anyone.

Cookies and ads

Farq displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Third-party services

  • Google AdSense — for serving ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Brave Search — used to find product pages on retailer websites. Your search queries are sent to Brave but not associated with any personal identifier from us.

Children

Farq is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so does not prevent the site from working but may make ads less relevant.
