Farq is an independent price comparison site made in Bahrain, for shoppers in Bahrain. The name "Farq" (فرق) means "difference" in Arabic — because the difference between two retailers' prices for exactly the same product is often larger than people expect.

Why it exists

Comparing prices in Bahrain usually means opening five or six retailer websites, searching each one, and checking that the listings really are the same model, storage size and version. Farq does that work once and keeps doing it, so you can see who is cheapest today — and whether today's price is actually a good one.

How Farq finds prices

Every price comes from the retailer's own website. Farq reads each store's public product catalog overnight, re-checks individual product pages when shoppers view them, and records the lowest verified price each day to build a price history. We only read public product pages, at a gentle rate, and never place orders or collect anything from behind a login.

A price is only compared when we are confident it is for the same product: the same model, the same configuration (a 256GB phone is never compared with a 512GB one), priced in Bahraini dinars, in stock, and confirmed within the last week. Prices that are wildly out of line with every other store are held back as likely listing errors. The full method is explained in How Farq compares prices.

Independence

Farq is not a store and never handles payments: you buy directly from the retailer. Retailers do not pay to be listed or ranked, and verified prices are always ordered cheapest first. If you spot a wrong price or a mismatched product, please tell us — corrections are fixed at the source so they stay fixed.
