How Farq compares prices — and what it deliberately leaves out

A price comparison is only useful if every price on it is real, current, and for the same product. This is how Farq gets there, and why you will sometimes see fewer offers than you expected.
Where prices come from
Every price on Farq is read from the retailer's own product page or catalog — the same data that appears at their checkout. We read retailer catalogs every night and re-check individual product pages during the day, so a price is never more than a day old and usually much fresher.
We track a fixed list of Bahrain retailers, from the large chains (Sharaf DG, eXtra, Jarir, Lulu, Virgin Megastore) to the specialists (Games Corner, Geekay, Advanti, Master Productions, Caza Souq, Computia, iMachines, iWorld, Sony World) and the telco shops. Marketplaces and overseas sellers are not included.
What we exclude on purpose
An offer only appears on a comparison if it is for the same product and configuration (a 256GB phone is never compared with a 128GB one), is priced in Bahraini dinars, is not marked out of stock, and was confirmed recently. Prices that are implausibly far from every other retailer's are held back too — they are usually a listing error rather than a bargain.
Excluded offers are still stored, so if a retailer fixes a listing it reappears automatically. This is why a product can show one offer today and three tomorrow.
How to read a page
The green card is the lowest trusted price right now. The list below it shows every trusted offer, cheapest first, each linking to the retailer's page. The price history chart shows the daily low over time, and the badges tell you if today's price is a real drop. If you want to wait, set an alert and we will email you once when the price moves.
