OLED vs QLED in Bahrain: picking a TV size and panel without overpaying

TV pricing in Bahrain swings more than any other category — the same model can move by a third within a few weeks around a promotion. The panel technology and the screen size are the two decisions that set your budget, and each has a Bahrain-specific twist.
OLED or QLED?
OLED (LG's C-series, Sony's Bravia OLEDs, Samsung's S-series) gives perfect blacks and the best picture in a dim room. QLED and Mini-LED (Samsung's Q and QN series, TCL's C-series, Hisense's U-series) get much brighter, which matters in a sunlit Bahrain living room with large windows. If your TV faces daylight for most of the day, a bright QLED often looks better than a more expensive OLED.
For a home cinema room or evening viewing, OLED wins. LG's C-series is the default recommendation because it combines the gaming features (120Hz, VRR, four HDMI 2.1 ports) with the widest availability at Bahrain retailers.
Size steps and price steps
Prices step up sharply at 65 inches and again at 75 or 77 inches. In Bahrain the 55-inch and 65-inch sizes see the most competition and the deepest promotional discounts; the largest sizes are stocked by fewer retailers and discounted less often. If a 65-inch fits, it is usually the best value point.
Sizes are separate products. A 55-inch C5 and a 65-inch C5 are different SKUs with different prices, and comparing them together only muddies the picture — which is why Farq keeps each size on its own comparison page.
Model years
TV makers release a new generation every year, and the previous year's model stays on shelves at a discount for months. The year-on-year improvement is usually small — a 2025 C5 is not dramatically different from a 2024 C4 — so the previous generation at a clearance price is often the smart buy.
